When choosing a surface for your kitchen, bathroom or reception areas you should have all your requirements in one of granite, quartz or marble. With hundreds of colours to choose from with different textures and details you can have the kitchen of your dreams.
Granite and marble are the more traditional or classic surface, granite being very hard and durable with good heat and scratch resistance. Granites are porous in nature but when treated and looked after once a year are as good as any surface. Granites and marbles are a natural material and so each slab is unique with its own textures and colour. There are some colours that are more consistent than others but that is really the beauty of stone.
Quartz on the other hand is a man made material and is also very tough and durable. It has very good heat resistance and scratch resistance. It is not porous and therefore extremely difficult to stain. It is very hygienic and easy to clean as is granite. There are quite a few varities of quartz such as Silestone, Technistone, and Quarella and there are hundreds of colours which are easier to match because of quartz’s consistency
